4/26/2009 - I'm awful these days about putting pictures up. Today's update really goes all the way back to Kara's birthday on 3/2!

Not this time, but earlier, Lily zipped herself up in this and was trapped. She didn't find it as amusing as I did.

More willow tree fun. Poor tree.
Weekend camping trip to Memaloose State Park and around the East end of the Gorge.
Biking to the Mosier Tunnels. Cool tunnels, cold day, painfully out of shape. Seriously.
Second bike ride down the Deschutes river trail. Nice sun out just 15 miles farther east. Note the blanket to block the sun as they napped in the bike trailer.
Bunny Bear got a boo-boo.
Sam, Shi, Ben and Gabrielle Patterson came out and joined us for a day. It rained quite a bit so we ended up all the way out at the White River Falls. The old Power Plant is recently boarded up.
Lily apparently decided that all of her cloths from her room would be better on the floor downstairs. Mama made her move 'em all back!

Ice Skating seems like a good idea, right? Lily did not like it at all. She only went around three times.
At least we had some good shakes at Skyline Burgers and Shakes on the way home!

3/2/2009 - Kara's 1st Birthday
Nana and Popi flew in for the event.
Cheesecake Factory for the Birthday Dinner. Kara had a blast!
02/20/2009 - Another big update.
A couple of dinners with friends and hanging around the house.
Katy and Lily made bear bread, which came out great!
Kara and the blue thing is really funny to watch. She walks around with it like this.

Mamo came to visit for the weekend so we could go to a Valentine's dance.
Lily and I rode the MAX downtown to get out for the day.
Day trip to the Evergreen Aviation museum in McMinnville, OR
We rode bikes with the Pattersons on the Banks to Vernonia trail. We went from Vernonia to the Beaver Creek trailhead and back. (~9 miles total) Great playground in Vernonia and then late lunch at the Dairy Queen in Buxton. And yes. That is snow in the second picture. It was around degrees when we left and my fingers were frozen. High 50s by the time we left and quite nice with the sunshine.

Interesting Gun Installments in Fort Stevens that used to protect the mouth of the Columbia River. Apparently this was the only place on the mainland US to take direct fire from enemy vessels during WWII.
